School is back in session, and fast, healthy dinners are a necessity. We’re especially excited about this taco salad because it’s a healthier version. It’s packed with protein, and, like all taco salads, easy to customize. Make the entire family happy with your favorite toppings, like black olives, lime, and peppers.
Deluxe Taco Salad Ingredients
- 16 Oz. Lean Ground Beef
- Taco Seasoning Package
- 1 Head Iceberg Lettuce
- 1 Avocado
- Red Onion to taste
- Green Onions, Chopped
- 1 Can Pinto Beans
- 1 Can Kidney Beans
- 2 Tomatoes, Chopped
- 8 Oz. Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- Salsa to taste
Directions
In a large skillet over medium to high heat, brown the ground beef and drain off the excess fat. Stir in your taco seasoning, and set the beef mixture aside. In a large bowl, combine lettuce, red onion, green onion, pinto beans, kidney beans, tomatoes, avocado, and cheese. Add the beef mixture and mix well. Before serving, add salsa to taste. Mix well and serve immediately.
