“I was … talking myself out of even trying”
Kira has been coming to Complete Fitness faithfully for almost a year and a half and gained some serious muscle. But prior to that, she didn’t know what she was missing, “I was very comfortable in my sedentary life. Ate whatever I wanted and rarely thought about working out. I was very selfish with my time and money — thinking I couldn’t fit a workout in and if I did, I wouldn’t see the results I was hoping for and it would be a waste. I basically was talking myself out of even trying by coming up with any excuse to NOT make a change.”
Making A Change, Building Muscle
“I had a reality check: I was out of breath after two flights of stairs at work. It brought into focus how out of shape I was, and that was unacceptable for me.” Kira scheduled her consultation and began a program here at Complete Fitness.
Now Kira trains twice a week and sticks to the changes she’s made as a result of what she’s learned here. “I cut out wheat and dairy, do weekly meal prep, and cut way back on going out to eat.” Kira has more than a few favorite AdvoCare products to supplement her healthy eating as well; she loves Spark, Catalyst, Rehydrate, Nighttime Recovery, and MNS3. Her new habits have paid off. “Last time I was measured, I lost 7 lbs. of fat and gained 8 lbs. of muscle.”
What’s Next?
Not ready to stop there, Kira established new goals. She hopes to gain 5 more lbs of muscle, continue to tone up, and perform an unassisted pull-up. Kira’s advice to anyone who might be on the fence about being a program at Complete Fitness is simple. “Focus on your workout. Just because someone next to you is done faster, does NOT mean you have to sacrifice the number or quality of your own sets to keep up! Remember your ‘why’ when things start to get tough and you want to quit. Don’t be discouraged, you ARE making progress!”
Thank you, Kira! Congratulations on your hard work!
