When you look in the mirror what do you see?
Does your mind say things like…
I am healthy.
I am fit and strong!
Exercise and healthy foods help me feel great.
I am creating my ideal body that is best for me.
OR, do you find yourself saying things like…
Why do I even try.
I can’t lose weight.
I have no energy and feel terrible!
Nothing fits, I hate the way I look!
Not to get all metaphysical here, but did you know that thoughts are things? Everything you think or meditate on is programming your mind to take you in the direction of your most dominate thought.
It’s just a like a GPS. You tell it where you want to go and it gives you step by step directions on how to get there.
When you are telling yourself that you have no energy, no time to work out and you’ll never be fit and healthy that programs your mind to direct your choices to line up with what you believe.
What do you do to change it?
It may sound goofy but you daily affirmations or belief statements are the best way to change the thoughts that are going on in your head. Here is a link to a few that will gets you started.
Here’s a challenge. Pick 5 affirmations that stand out to you and write them on a note card or put them in your smart phone so they will pop up twice a day.
State them out loud, so you can hear yourself saying them, for seven days straight. At the end of that first week you will either feel a difference or you won’t. What do you have to lose?
