LaMay Made Big Progress, Until She Hit A Plateau
When LaMay first walked through the door at Complete Fitness, she had already lost 100 pounds! She kept working out consistently after losing 36 inches (3 feet!), but her measurements hadn’t changed for a while. “I temporarily gave up and thought my goals weren’t attainable,” she told us.
Putting Herself First
Like many parents, LaMay says she focused on her children rather than her fitness goals. “I’ve been a single parent for 16 years & my kids were my first priority. I wanted to make sure they had all they needed, even if that included me working two jobs at times.” But with her youngest graduating soon, she decided to step up to the plate.
100 Pounds Down: Starting Over
Initially, LaMay had her doubts. “I was most skeptical about having to start over. Knowing I wasn’t as strong as I was before. Knowing my endurance wasn’t there.”
LaMay started tracking her meals through MyFitnessPal, taking Spark, MNS E, and Catalyst, and adhered to her trainers’ recommended gym schedule. It didn’t take long to see results.
“My physical results for the past 4 months are: over 8% body fat gone along with 13.1# of fat, 9# of muscle gained & ability to lift heavier weights. Other results are more self-confidence, more endurance & energy without the 3pm crash, more focused at tasks, sleeping better, & overall more motivated.”
Even after she achieved new goals, LaMay isn’t stopping now. “My next big goal remains the same – reduce body fat & grow my muscles” Congratulations, LaMay! We’re so proud of your hard work!
