Unfortunately, our good intentions aren’t enough to create lasting health and fitness changes or drop pounds and inches. Mark knows that all too well. “I would start most years, months, and weeks with good intentions to work out, eat properly, and begin losing weight. Within a few days, I would quickly fall into bad habits with a plan to start again the next week, month, or year.
I ate and drank what I wanted. As time progressed and more and more weight came on, I did not like the way I looked and felt. I was limited sometimes on activities I enjoy doing.”
Therefore, Mark decided it was time to focus on his goals and lose the pounds. He also knew how he was going to keep himself accountable. “I knew I wanted to hire a personal trainer so I would have someone to answer to and keep me focused in my endeavor. I was introduced to Complete Fitness through close friends that has been having success with their trainer. After sharing my plans and goals with them, they gifted me my first month with the trainer.”
Before Mark and Trainer Travis laid a firm plan in place to cut pounds, they met to discuss the process and Mark’s goals. “I knew I wanted it to be a lifestyle change that involved exercise and normal food I could eat from here on out. I was not interested in losing weight quickly and becoming a body builder.”
Mark’s realistic goals and desire for a gradual, healthy change made all the difference. “I just wanted better results than friends and family have had trying the latest fad diets.”
How Mark Lost 70 Pounds
He got exactly what he was seeking. Mark works out with this trainer three days a week at Complete Fitness. He also stays active outside of the gym. You can often find Mark on his bike, outside on a walk, and taking spin classes, too.
After five months, Mark dropped 70 pounds! He loves that he has come down 4 pants sizes and his flexibility has improved. Another big benefit? “Before I started I had had back, shoulder, and knee pain from previous injuries. They have all gone away.”
Today, Mark logs all of his food into an app and works toward nutritional balance. He looks at food completely differently now, and as a result, he strives to drink more water and make smart nutritional choices. “I also cut soda from my diet.”
