Do you ever wonder what the Complete Fitness trainers do when they workout? Our Move of the Month for July is Trainer Casey’s favorite lower body exercise, and you can bet it’s one she uses to get her clients and herself great results. The Kettle Bell squat with a calf raise is great for the whole lower body – perfect for both men and women.
When you start this exercise, you want to have your legs a little farther than shoulder width apart with your toes pointed out. Holding the kettle bell (bell side down) squat down, and send your hips back and low. When you come to the top of the squat, be sure to squeeze your glutes and bring your hips forward. Once you get to the top of squat movement, take it to the next level by finishing with a calf raise. Casey says, “After going nice and low with the squat, the squeeze at the top and added calf raise really take it to the next level.”
